Lee Ou-fan is Professor of Humanities at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, having retired from Harvard in 2004. Among his publications in English are: Shanghai Modern (Harvard, 1999), Voices from the Iron House : A study of Lu Xun (Indiana, 1987), and The Romantic Generation of Modern Chinese Writers (Harvard, 1974). All of them have been translated into Chinese. His Chinese publications include a dozen collections of essays in cultural criticism and two novels; some of the most recent ones are listed below:
