An experienced cross-media artist.
Graduated in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with BA honour in graphic communication and Master of Philosophy degree with thesis title 'The Hong Kong Ideas of Home'.
Au Yeung is involved in radio and TV programme production on cultural issues, working actively in graphic design, art direction, comic and illustration, Au Yeung also offers commentaries on travel, home living and food, his writings and comix works is currently appearing extensively in newspapers and magazines in greater China region.
He has published approximately 20 books, including comix titles: 'out there' (1-4), ' love kills' (1-5), 'Siu Ming', '3721' , "out of the blur' and short stories: 'day in day out', travelog 'out of ordinary'. Home living series, 'living together', 'design myself', 'home Chinese home I & II', 'half-full', 'blow up Italia', 'killing me slowly'. The newest series on food of HK - 'Hong Kong Wei Dao' (1-4) published in 2007. He also edited 4 issues of Hong Kong Independent comix anthology 'Cockroach' and is the founding member of an Hong Kong independent comix group 'Springrolllll'.
Au Yeung held numerous solo and group comix exhibition in Hong Kong , Taiwan, Japan, France and Swiss, dating from 1987 to present.
He is one of the curators of a series of comix events in Hong Kong Art Center from 2006 - 2007, under the title "Comix Home Base".
He puts great effort towards nurturing the next generation of designers and comix artists by communicating with students via lectures and holding workshops in design schools, universities in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.
