Chairman of Board / President of Pegasus and Taihe Entertainment International, China

Sun Jianjun graduated from Nanjing Arts Institute in 1976. He was a performer of the Nanjing Military Region Frontline Opera, before teaching in Nanjing Arts Institute for 8 years. Mr Sun went to the US for his further studies in 1986, and achieved Master of Arts degree in University of California in the US. During his stay in the US, Mr Sun was extensively involved in photography, television and television advertisement creation. Later, he was employed by the American INDEX Photography Company as a contract photographer and the American Jiesi Photography Production Company as a general manager. After spending years in the US, Mr Sun finally returned to China in 1993 and set up a joint venture called "Pegasus World Entertainment" with the Beijing Film Studio. This cooperation serves as a pioneer for future cooperation between China and overseas countries in the entertainment and media industry.

During the past 13 years, Pegasus and Taihe founded by Sun has been dedicated to fulfulling its mission of promoting Chinese culture to every part of the world. It operates in a practical manner, based on the aims of bringing benefits to the country, people, mankind, and company. Pegasus and Taihe was repeatedly consigned by Information Office of the State Council and Ministry of Culture to hold large-scale promotion campaigns and culture exchange programmes in more than 10 countries around the world. "Dynamic Yunnan", produced by Pegasus and Taihe, is an exemplary model in promoting Chinese culture to the world. Over a thousand performances will be staged in dozens of different countries in the world.

Pegasus and Taihe was commissioned by Peking University as the Directing Unit of "Chinese Cultural Industries Research Base", and was also assigned as Member of CIC and Council Member of the Beijing CBD Chamber of Media Industry. In the same year, Pegasus and Taihe received an Outstanding Project Award in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies Creative Projects Collection Campaign from BOCOG. Furthermore, in 2005, Pegasus and Taihe Entertainment International was conferred the Base of Chinese Cultural Export Products by the Ministry of Culture.
Sun was commissioned by Beijing Tourism Administration as the Promotion and Advertising Consultant in 2007. Before that, Sun has been the Chairman of Board / President of Beijing Pegasus and Taihe Entertainment International Limited since 1994. He has been, at the same time, tutor of postgraudate students in Communication University of China, Visiting Professor at Nanjing Arts Institute, Member of the Television Art Committee of the Chinese Television Artists Association and Director of Beijing Performing Industry Association. Later in 2000, Sun was invited by Clinton, the US President, to attend the White House World Culture Forum as the only representative from China. He served as a jury in the Milan International Film Festival held in Italy in 1998. In the early 90s, he took photos of Crystal Cathedral, which were collected by the Pope and earned him 17 top international photography awards. Also, his works were selected to be included in the "The Yearbook of World Photography".
