Graduated from the University of Hong Kong, Ms. Liz Wong studied television and film production in England at Bristol University. Upon her return to Hong Kong she joined HK-Television Broadcast and later RTHK as a drama director. Her works won numerous awards at international film and TV festivals, including the Best TV Drama at the Golden Gate Awards of the San Francisco International Film Festival in 1991 and 2000 respectively. She started directing documentary programmes in 1996.

Wong produced a number of drama and documentary series in art and culture in the past 10 years, including the Y2K youth drama series, Below the Lion Rock, A Century of Chinese Cinema, Art Odyssey, Design in Progress, and Designers Abroad – Chinese Designers Series.

In 2002 and 2003, she supervised a number of projects in animation including two TV series Eight Beats and World Animated, as well as the Hong Kong International Animation Festival. In the last three years, she has been a commissioning editor for RTHK's animation commissioning project.
